What is Songly?
Songly is a daily music guessing game in the Heardle tradition: you hear a fraction of a second of a song and try to name it. Every day brings a new track for each of the five difficulty levels, and the whole thing runs in the browser — free, no account, no download.
How to play
- Press play to hear the first 0.1 seconds of today's song.
- Start typing an artist or title in the search box and pick your guess.
- Every skip or wrong guess unlocks a longer snippet — 0.5s, then 3s, then 8s.
- Name the song before the snippets run out to win the round.
Difficulty levels
Five levels, five separate songs each day. Easy sticks to the biggest chart hits. Medium and Hard reach further down the charts, Expert further still, and Impossible pulls from the deep catalogue — a level for people who think one tenth of a second is plenty.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play Songly?
Press play to hear 0.1 seconds of the day's song, then search for the title. Every skip or wrong guess unlocks a longer snippet — 0.5s, 3s, then 8s. Name the song before the snippets run out and you win the round.
How often do new songs appear?
Every day. Songly serves a fresh song for each of the five difficulty levels at local midnight, so there are five puzzles to play daily.
What are the difficulty levels?
Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert and Impossible. Easy pulls from the biggest chart hits; the harder levels reach deeper into the catalogue, so the song is far less likely to be one you hear on the radio.
Is Songly free?
